Groups/Groupings

create the Group Assignment.
3. Fill
groups with students

provide detailed information regarding the group assignment
You should provide students with all necessary information
about the Assignment. This includes the marking criteria, the due dates, and
the expectations.
5. Create
a group assignment
Check that the Group Submission setting is active when
creating the Assignment. Use
the Tag option to mark the assignment as "Summative". For detailed instructions on how to set up an
Assignment, please refer to our FAQ and Assignment Setup. You can specify which file types you would like
your students to use.
6. Include
submission instructions with the description
In the box titled "Description", provide
complete and clear instructions on how to submit. Include the date, time, and format of submission.
7. You
can link your SAMIS assignment to Grade Transfer by using the Grade Transfer
Setting*
Use the Grade Transfer option in the Assignment. This will
link your Assignment with SAMIS.
8. Manage
extensions as needed
Follow these steps if you want to extend the deadline for
the Assignment. Please note
that granting a request for an extension does not include the administration of
it.
9. Lock
student submissions after the deadline
Lock the submissions of the students after the deadline to
prevent any changes.
10. Give
feedback/marks and annotations on the submission
If you've used the default settings for Group Assignments,
then only one student needs to submit a document on behalf of the Group.
